Delicious AND Healthy Indian recipes you can make at home!

Our lentils, or "dal" (dahl), can be prepared as a main dish or as a side dish.  Make dal thin and enjoy it like soup or ladle it over rice.  Alternatively, make dal thick and scoop it up with warm flatbread, naan or pita crisps!

New to our line are two "khichdi" (kitch-id-ee) dishes.  Khichdi is a quick and easy ONE-POT DISH with rice, moong dal, cashews and coconut.  Sabudana Khichdi is a spicy tapioca dish wrapped in crunchy peanut goodness!

Health Benefits of Lentils:

Lentils are high in protein and fiber and low in fat.

Sabudana Khichdi - Spicy Tapioca: Tapioca Pearls,
Peanuts, Cumin Seeds, Cayenne Powder

Sabudana Khichdi is served in India as a savory breakfast,
light lunch, or afternoon snack.

After rehydrating the pearls, they become fluffy and springy, similar to cooked pasta.  Wrapped in crunchy crushed peanuts and spices (included in Dice 'N Spice kit) the pearls are even more savory and satisfying!  We like to kick it up a notch by adding chopped chilies when we fry the potatoes.  Then, just before serving, top it with a dollop of plain yogurt for mixing.

P.S. Saab-ooh-dawn-uh Kitch-id-ee is also fun to say! :)
